Founded in early 2003 and owned by Cristian Badiu and his wife Jennifer, Granite Group has started as a tile and flooring store in Marion Il and as a subsidiary to our Cleveland Ohio granite fabrication divission.

In early 2005 Cristian decided to introduce our Cleveland Ohio granite slab countertops to the Southern Illinois market. Through hard work and quality craftmanship, the demand for granite countertops in Southern Illinois has increased dramatically. Our reputation for impecable work, timely fabrication and delivery and our unbeatable prices has made Granite Group the number one granite countertop provider in Southern Illinois.

Later that year, due to the popular demand for our granite countertops we decided to open our second granite fabrication location right here in Southern Illinois. With help from the staff at our Cleveland OH facility, the shop at 703 N Carbon in Marion Il opened its doors in the spring of 2006.

Since then, Granite Group has fabricated and installed more than 500 full kitchen granite countertops and ove 1500 granite vanity tops from this location in Marion IL. Each and every countertop has been fabricated with the outmost attention to detail and quality to ensure that our reputation remains as the number one granite fabricator in the area. We specialize in residential and commercial projects and we have been honored to fabricate and install granite countertops for homeowners as well as large hotel and commercial projects.

Today with 5 employees and a staff of two sales people, Granite Group continues to sale and deliver the most affordable and luxurious granite countertops in Southern Illinois, Western Kentucky and South East Missouri.

In Spring 2012, Granite Group will open our new showroom location in Cape Girardeau Missouri, location that will provide the same quality and affordable service to the SEMO market. Our new location will help speed up the delivery time for our customers in South East Missouri and will provide these customers with the opportunity to select stones and cabinet styles without making the hour long drive to Marion.

In the years to come, we plan to every improove our business, maintain our quality and craftmanship and better sever our customers both in Southern Illinois as well as the adjecent service areas.
